Activity Type: Education – Course or Training  1 Hour  1 PDU
Provider: Human Capital Institute

Mental health is one of the biggest issues companies and their employees face today.

Mental health has the highest economic cost of any other condition – even heart disease. The pandemic has caused 1 in 3 adults to experience anxiety or depression, and people will continue to struggle well after the pandemic has come to a close. Yet – people are still not getting the mental health support they need.

You have a part to play in the fight against the mental health stigma.

In this  session, learn from Nivati employee wellbeing experts Amelia Wilcox, (LinkedIn profile) Founder and CEO, and Haeli Harris, (LinkedIn profile) LMFT and Lead Clinician, all about the state of mental health today and what employers like you should do about it.

Amelia and Haeli will discuss:

  • What you can do as an employer to fight the mental health stigma through the newest technologies and provide employees with the mental health support they need
  • The barriers to mental health care – structural and attitudinal barriers – and how you can help employees overcome them so they can live happier and healthier lives
  • The common mental illnesses employees are facing today – mainly anxiety and depression – and how these mental health challenges impact the workplace. You will learn about the latest virtual tools that help combat these mental health issues (mindfulness, coaching, and therapy), and topics you can discuss with employees to start fighting the mental health stigma in your workplace.
  • What you can do as an employer step-by-step to help your people overcome mental health challenges.

As companies calibrate the balance between remote and in-office workers,
companies are facing their greatest people management challenge in generations.

Temporary work-from-home policies of the pandemic have matured into more permanent hybrid work models with some mix of at-home and at-office
schedules. 65% of those employees that have worked from home during the
pandemic want to continue to do so; 58% of those same employees say they will quit if forced to return full-time to a centralized office.

They’ve experienced the benefits of working remotely—and they like it. On top of that, Gallup reports almost half of all workers are currently looking for new jobs.

The hybrid workplace requires a renewed approach for engaging and retaining top talent. By allowing greater worker autonomy and flexibility, companies can better retain staff and expand their potential pool of talent, which is especially important in light of the increasing shortage of skilled labor facing all organizations today and in the years to come.

Find out what it takes to successfully manage virtual workers while allowing others to return to the office, learn the pitfalls and successful tools and techniques other organizations are successfully using on this topic, and increase your confidence for effectively getting work done through workers wherever they are located.

Attendees will learn:

  • Setting clear goals, expectations and ground rules for working remotely
  • Building trust yet maintaining accountability with hybrid workers
  • Promoting inclusion and collaboration with and between all workers
  • Technology tools and strategies for increased communication
  • · Recognition that works best for virtual and in-office employees alike

Companies around the world rely on leadership coaching for talent development.

These organizations report a range of benefits from coaching including an increase in employee retention, customer satisfaction, productivity, employee engagement, and leadership bench strength.

Research shows that over 70 percent of organizations offer leadership coaching – and another 22 percent would like to offer coaching, but lack of budget and resources to manage these programs creates a barrier.

Even among those companies investing in coaching, budget remains the biggest challenge, followed by the lack of ability to measure a return on investment.

While talent development professionals understand the immense value of coaching, it can be difficult to secure buy-in from senior leaders without a clear business case and a guaranteed return on investment.

Organizations that can measure the business impact are much more likely to increase their investment in coaching, and expand coaching efforts to more leaders.

Fortunately, coaching management platforms are making it easier to measure the business impact, both at the individual and organizational level, and deliver a better, more impactful, coaching experience.

This webinar will explore:

  • Why more organizations are investing in leadership coaching
  • The most common challenges organizations face in offering leadership coaching
  • How organizations are measuring the business impact of coaching
  • How technology is making it easier to manage, measure and scale coaching
  • How to make the business case for leadership coaching
  • Everyone who registers for this webinar will receive a copy of Sounding Board’s 2021 Leadership Coaching Industry Research Report, which features insights and findings from over 450 learning and development practitioners.
