For a great introduction to “Mindfulness”, how it works, and its application to the workplace: read Professor David J Lee’s article, Mindfulness In The Workplace sponsored by Miami Miller School of Medicine & NIOSH.
Mindfullness has become a staple offering within the HR toolkit.
In fact, over half of all large corporations now offer some form of mindfulness training to employees.
This prevalence seems to be justified as mindfulness research suggests this quality can support the well-being, relationships and performance of employees at work. Surprising to some, there has not been any rigorous research that shows potential downsides to mindfulness at work — that is, until now.
A recent series of studies demonstrates that under specific workplace conditions mindfulness becomes a detriment to employee performance.
In this session, you will:
- Understand how mindfulness can both support and undermine workplace outcomes
- Engage in a short introductory meditation
- Learn how these current research findings help reveal more about the presentation of emotions at work
- ·Explore ways to further support employees who are receiving mindfulness training
Join Glint’s Darren Good (LinkedIn profile) for this meaningful session.

In a new study from Lighthouse Research & Advisory, more than 800 employers talked about challenges and plans for their talent acquisition teams. A key finding?
The majority of companies saw gaps based on the events of 2020, and many of them still haven’t filled those needs.
In this session Ben Eubanks, (LinkedIn profile) Principal Analyst at Lighthouse Research will look at some key highlights of the research across diversity hiring, internal mobility, recruiting automation, and more, plus we’ll explore a few practical case studies to make this relevant for every HR and talent leader.
Attendees will learn:
- Key skills for talent acquisition leaders in a workplace full of AI and technology
- How companies are balancing equity/fairness and automation
- What metrics employers are using for internal mobility success
- And more!
This session will bring the research, but it will also blend in stories and examples to make it highly practical for every leader with a responsibility for talent and HR.

The strongest predictor of a healthy culture is a high score in well-established norms of behavior. Organizations with well-established norms of behavior also score well in diversity and inclusion, respect, and ethical workplaces.
How do we know this?
Emtrain has over 20 million employee responses regarding the indicators of a healthy workplace culture, generated from Emtrain’s CultureTech platform. Janine Yancey (LinkedIn profile) Founder and CEO of Emtrain will be presenting on how to establish strong norms of behavior in your organization.
In this webinar Janine explore :
- How HR and Culture Leaders can partner with their CEO to draft norms of behavior on every facet of the employee experience – from interviewing to team dynamics to resolving conflict to career advancement to transitioning out of business.
- How to identify the managers who best support those norms and cultivate them into tomorrow’s leaders.
- How to use Emtrain’s Workplace Social Indicators framework to build norms of behavior on the organizational level.

Having faced unprecedented levels of change this past year, employees are exhausted.
In the last 12 months, 92% of organizations have shifted to remote or hybrid work, 44% have undergone restructuring or layoffs, and 46% have undertaken strategic business changes, according to a recent Poppulo survey.
Unsurprisingly, 81% of respondents reported increased concerns about employee wellbeing.
The coming months present a massive challenge for HR teams, who are juggling daily fire drills while also reimagining the “workplace” as we know it.
Whether planning a shift back to the office, perfecting a hybrid work model, or implementing a work-from-anywhere policy, HR teams are leading mission-critical endeavors.
And, as research shows, communication is crucial to the success of these change initiatives.
Join behavioral scientist Lindsay Kohler (LinkedIn profile) and employee communications experts Laura House (LinkedIn profile) and Naomi Goodman (LinkedIn profile).
Learn how to be the leader your organization needs:
- Understand what behavioral science can teach us about what employees will be thinking and feeling over the next few months
- Hone active listening and authentic leadership skills for yourself, your team, and your executives
- Communicate in ways that re-engage employees, stem burnout, and create connections – no matter where your employees are
