In this session, discover creative and innovative ways to enhance eLearning at your organization.

Digital learning can be strategically used to achieve better results through customization not possible in in-person training.

However, many eLearning designs still follow a linear structure of instructor-led sessions. This session showcases advanced applications of branching to elevate eLearning.

Attendees will explore various uses of branching in digital learning, inspiring out-of-the-box thinking with existing tools and programming logic to create customized, adaptive, and relevant courses. Branching logic allows learning designers to tailor learning experiences to their learners.

In this session, Garima Gupta (LinkedIn profile) will cover:

  • Extreme branching in a simulation module with multiple outcomes
  • Smart branching for customized learning paths in software training
  • Branching for relevant exercises and content
  • Mini branching within activities for meaningful experiences

Take a behind-the-scenes look at building branched eLearning, including storyboard flowcharts, variables, and triggers. We’ll discuss how to get started with branching, focusing on both tools and mindset. A handout will provide hands-on practice, summarize key takeaways and list relevant tools.

What Can Children Teach Us about Project Management?

As surprising as it may seem, the art of raising children leverages many of the same skills as managing a project team.

Fostering the growth of a child’s mind requires the creation of a positive atmosphere comprised of love, trust and enablement. Similarly, in working with teams, we strive to create an atmosphere of open communication, collaboration and trust.

This webinar will highlight and examine 7 things you can learn from kids that apply to project management:

  1. Play group dynamics are a lot like team dynamics
    • no one should be left out
    • we should respect the will of the group
  2. To gain cooperation, timing is everything
    • never seek it on empty stomachs or after a long day
    • understanding what motivates others is the key to maintaining collaboration
  3. Learning moments need to be seized and capitalized on
    • capitalize on the sense of urgency for maximum effect
  4. How to combat peer pressure
    • being unique doesn’t mean you don’t fit in
  5. Working through conflict means learning to work it out
    • bullying hurts everyone, especially the bullier
  6. Value everyone’s talents and approach
    • not everyone learns the same or thinks the same
  7. Be consistent when applying support, rewards, corrections and routines
    • it will reduce anxiety and set a pace

Your happiness and success depend on your working relationships. The people you manage.

How well you work with your boss. The way collaboration happens with colleagues and peers. How you connect with important prospects and key clients.

But the hard truth is this: most of us leave the health and fate of these relationships to chance. We say “Hi,” exchange pleasantries, and then hope for the best.

But every relationship becomes suboptimal at some point, whether it’s a good one that goes off the rails or one that was poor from the start.

And when that happens, most of us don’t know what to do about it.

We are just resigned to the fact that this is what happens: relationships always get a little broken, or a little stale, or a little worse.

In this practical session, you’ll learn how to reverse that trend and build the best possible working relationship with anyone. Well, almost anyone.

You will:

  • learn the three attributes of a resilient and long-lasting relationship
  • understand how you can aspire to “the best possible relationship” with every one of your key working relationships
  • investigate the one awkward but essential conversation that will set up success
  • take a deep dive into one of the essential questions, and prepare your best answers to them

You will leave with a renewed optimism about the quality of their working relationships, a determination to actively manage them, and a plan to get things started.
