Most projects are not successful. According to a 2014 survey, less than 30% of capital projects are delivered on time or on budget.

Planning and executing a successful project requires finding balance between the project schedule and risk.

There are five schedule risk analysis steps project teams can follow to balance schedule and risk: schedule validation, model risks, risk analysis, results analysis, and reporting & monitoring.

With these five steps, teams can better understand the project plan – properly estimating schedule contingency, identifying schedule drivers, analyzing the impacts of risk against the project schedule and developing risk-based what-if scenarios, resulting in more successful projects.

Presenter:  Wesley Gillette (LinkedIn profile) is Director of Client Services for Safran Software, a leading provider of Project Planning & Scheduling and Project Risk management software for project and asset-intensive industries. With 14+ years of experience , Wes has previously held roles as Product Manager and Services Manager for Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis (Pertmaster) where in addition to consulting and training. Handling conflicts in the workplace is a challenging, but necessary, reality for a Project Manager. How a leader deals with conflict either serves to better a team or contributes to its demise.

Conflict in teams is often cause by situations in which team members with different goals and needs clash, causing a loss of trust and often-intense personal animosity.

If you don’t handle conflict effectively, teamwork can quickly break down and talent may be wasted as people disengage from their work or leave.

The fact that conflict exists, however, is not necessarily a bad thing.

When you resolve it effectively, you can also eliminate many of the previously hidden problems that it brought to the surface.

In this conflict resolution webinar Shawn Stratton (LinkedIn profile) targets some of the most challenging aspects of communication that Project Managers face.

High-impact strategies that bring teams to the next level, where change is perceived as opportunity and adversity is turned into success, are revealed.

To keep your team members working effectively, despite coming into conflict with one another, you need to stop the downward spiral as soon as you can.

To do this, it helps to understand the key symptoms and causes before employing an effective conflict resolution model.

During the presentation you will discover:

  • The 5 Dysfunctions Of Teams
  • 5 major causes of destructive conflict
  • How to facilitate healthy conflict
  • A simple and effective conflict resolution model
