Why data analytics is important for project managers, and how can project managers leverage the tools available to drive success on their projects?

  • Managers and executives can use data analytics tools to spot early symptoms of budget, cost, and timeline slippages and take corrective action.
  • Managers can use analytics to capture the velocity of work, making it easier to estimate whether a project will be completed on schedule.
  • Data analytics allow PMs to analyze project issues and risks to manage them better and minimize their impact on your processes and results.
  • This also helps develop the right methods and use the right tools to identify, analyze, prioritize, monitor potential issues, and create solid risk response strategies.
  • Managers are better equipped to handle projects that uses technologies like Power Platform, PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau and have deliverables in forms of Sales, Finance, Supply SCM, HR and other dashboards
  • A lot of Projects need a lot of extrapolations, so Data Analytics helps in forecasting the budget, project completion time and much more.

In this webinar, attendees will come away with insights on how to utilize data analytics tools and principles to increase project success.

In OCM, the most common mistake is to focus only on transitioning to the new systems or processes and not on the people.

People are the single most important factor that drives successful change adoption. Organizations that fail to deliver their strategic initiatives often find the lack of stakeholder involvement and engagement counterproductive.

Stakeholders view proposed changes through their beliefs and perceptive filters. They often see projects as untenable headwinds, so making the business case for the project is much easier than making the subjective What’s In It For Me (WIIFM) case. Your mind has to arrive first!

Successful projects require a prescriptive approach driven by Transformational Leadership and Organizational Change Management so that adoption, usage, and proficiency occur.

During this session, learn the difference between change and transformation and why the latter is preferred.

Dr. Patricia Anderson (LinkedIn profile) will teach you about the different leadership and OCM practices to engage in through the project phases and which to avoid.  Learn how to move from the abstract to the “why” and then on to the concrete “how” we’re going to change and drive successful project outcomes.

Effective project leaders use critical thinking throughout their projects, from planning, decision making, problem solving, allocating resources, setting priorities, leading change, managing conflict, negotiating, to making financial decisions.

Often project leaders must make decisions in an environment of VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous).

In this webinar Aina Aliieva (LinkedIn profile) & Michael Hoagland (LinkedIn profile) will explore methods and skills of the critical thinking process including recognizing bias and the psychological factors that hinder critical thinking.

Ania & Michael  will also have a discussion with some examples from their quite diverse backgrounds on the role of critical thinking in project management.
