We have all had them. We have also struggle with what to do about them.

Bad leaders—and bad leadership—is an unfortunate but inevitable by-product of organizational life. It is the rare person that won’t experience one, and most of us will experience many. That doesn’t make living under one any easier, fun or simpler over time.

In this webinar Mark Mullaly (LinkedIn profile) author of Researching the Value of Project Management  dives into the depths of bad leadership to understand what it is, what it looks like and why it happens. More importantly, it provides concrete strategies to function, operate and be as effective as you can be while working for a bad leader.

If you have a bad leader now—or you fear you might work for one in the future—this will be a webinar that you won’t want to miss.

What gets in our way then when we have the opportunity to serve those who are part of our team?

Servant Leadership has been a constant consideration when discussing leadership styles. Since the term was introduced in the 70s, it has sparked debate, and its application might seem counterintuitive with the idea of business/professional growth.

During this webinar, Emmanuel Ruelas  (LinkedIn profile) will talk about Servant Leadership, its characteristics, how to apply it, and how it can be used within the PMO context. We will also discuss the practicality and feasibility of implementing it across industries.

There is a missing skill in how project managers approach problems especially in the pharmaceutical industry. Most project managers do one of two things before solving a problem.

The first instinct is to review the problem regardless of how it is presented then jump straight into a solution.

However, this can lead to solving the wrong problem and only realizing the wrong problem is being solved after it is too late.

This leads to restarting the entire problem-solving life cycle or implementing a solution for the sake of “just doing something”.

The second most common response is for the project manager to spend significant resources, time, and energy analyzing the problem only for the problem to continue its life within the organization well after the “solution” was implemented.

What if Matthew Failor (LinkedIn profile) told you there was a simple rapid way to analyze any problem presented to the project manager? It doesn’t require complex formulas, methods, or advanced technology and can be completed in minutes. In this webinar, you will learn the reframing method and how to apply it to your day-to-day work.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Improve your ability to find creative solutions to tough problems at work and in your personal life
  • Immediately save resources, time, and energy by targeting the right issues
  • Accelerate your career and increase the value to your organization.
  • Increase your impact to the stakeholders, organizations, and the people you care for the most.

Culture rules who the things are done, it can determine the agility with which an organization responds to change.

But how could we realize how culture is shaped and how the role of the project manager is key in this process?

In this webinar Luis Alberto Caceres Villota (LinkedIn profile) author of Murphy On Projects: Causas de falhas nos projetos e como preveni-las (Portuguese Edition) will explore key concepts that allow to understand how the project manager could become a cultural change agent the culture towards more agile and innovative organizations.
