For the past 1 ½ years people have talked about the “new” normal, then the “next” normal. The truth is we’re beyond those catchphrases, since nothing stays normal for very long.

While many things are changing rapidly, what stays more consistent is culture: an organization’s values, beliefs, and behavior. Culture sustains organizations through all times and is especially important during change.

In this webinar, William Klepper, (LinkedIn profile) PhD Academic Director and Professor, Columbia University Business School and Dr. Casey Mulqueen (LinkedIn profile) Senior Director of Learning & Development , Tracom Group; will discuss the role that leaders play in developing and maintaining organizational and team culture.

Incorporating a leadership example, they’ll show how leaders’ resilience and behavioral style influence teams and companies. This webinar will be interactive, gathering participants’ issues and concerns to add to the discussion, ultimately showing how leaders model culture and change.

By attending this webinar, you will:

  • Learn a strategy to develop resilience and how leaders can model resilience.
  • Learn about behavioral styles and how leaders of each style bring unique abilities during different business cycles.
  • Hear stories of resilience and style that show how leaders sustain culture during changing times.

Mentoring programs sound like awesome ideas in theory. Build the project managers of tomorrow by having them learn from and be developed by your wisest, most experienced and capable project managers.

So good in theory, and yet often so horrible in practice (or simply incredibly short-lived). The challenge isn’t simply younger project managers not thinking they have any thing more to learn, or senior project managers being too busy (although both of those statements can be true).

There are much deeper cultural and personal issues at play on both sides.

Mentoring programs can work, but there are some fundamental pre-conditions for success. Where those are met, the outcomes can be extraordinary. Where they are not, the effort can fall flat on its face.

If you are being asked to mentor, are hoping to be mentored or are trying to get a mentoring program to thrive—or at least move forward—in your organization,

Large scale Retrospectives may give Programs a flood of feedback.  Project Managers may wonder, how to absorb such a torrent of feedback efficiently and improve quickly?

Disciplined Agile comes forward with a tool kit full of possibilities limited only by a practitioner’s creativity.

Come to this session to learn from Andrew Burns (LinkedIn profile) a facilitation pattern for acting on large scale Retrospective feedback.  Leave this session realizing that agile’s fast-failure ideas are fine, but Disciplined Agile’s succeed-sooner philosophy delivers faster learning cycles and Business Value more rapidly.

An organization not developing leaders faster than the pace of change is “planning” for strategic failure. In the end, if leadership does not evolve, the organization loses heart and degenerates in its purpose and capability.

Better leadership gives better business results!

At the same time we also talk about leaders who are well known for their command and control behaviors and how they have hinder the growth & success of individuals  that they have managed and huge transformation initiatives that they have led.

But do we know why few leaders showcase such behaviors? And what happens inside brain of those leaders who are known for building high performance teams?

In this talk, I am going to talk about the Universal Model of Leadership that is the first of its kind that integrates the field of leadership development.

It creates leadership awareness to help leaders be more effective and succeed and how this is going to complement in your project management professional.

In addition to above,

  1. What if – somehow if we could ever have snapshot of our brain on paper and somehow it can help us to visualize areas of our leadership strength and weakness.
  2. What if – we are able to see the leadership competencies within ourselves that makes us reactive on some sensitive situation?
  3. Similarly the competencies within ourselves that makes us creative on some out of box situation.
  4. How can we describe “current state” as a baseline and let that inform or compare to our aspiration?
  5. How the 360 degree assessment does looks like?

If you have similar questions  then this talk might give you some hints/perspective.

Join  Sanjay Rawat (LinkedIn profile) for this interactive session to explore what are the value drivers of adaptive leadership and what can be done so that we can first understand ourselves first and then try to have discussion with our team so that we give them all physiological safety that can help them to outperform in their current role.
