Data and analytics leaders recognize there is an inherent need for data-driven business decision making, but linking this demand to specific business benefits and outcomes can be difficult, deterring stakeholder buy-in and support.
According to respondents from the Gartner 2023 CDAO Agenda Survey, only a third of data and analytics functions are effective at showing demonstrable value to their stakeholders (35%) or promoting a data-driven decision style (31%), and only one in four achieved objectives for data monetization (24%).
This makes it challenging enough to successfully define a business case that will achieve executive approval, even without hiding behind vague statements about “better decision making.” CDAOs must provide strong leadership for selling the value of data and analytics to their stakeholders.
In this webinar Alan D. Duncan (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner VP Analyst reveals the six steps data and analytics leaders must take to obtain buy-in from their stakeholders.
Discussion Topics:
Set a strong vision for the desired end state and business outcomes that stakeholders care about
Overcome inhibitors preventing progress on data and analytics initiatives
Take immediate actions that build momentum for the business domains

As generative AI (GenAI) takes hold, marketing once again must transform at a massive pace. Marketers must become prompt engineers, technologists and strategists and still meet today’s business demands.
Chief marketing officers (CMOs) must not only create value, but prove and communicate marketing’s value on a continual basis to keep up.
Business growth goals require resource and cost optimization, even as CMOs are asked to accept more functional responsibilities.
Current marketing organizations have capability gaps that are barriers to growth, and if CMOs do not address this change, their marketing organizations will get caught in a downward vortex that will be too hard to fix.
Join this complimentary Gartner marketing webinar as a Gartner expert explores how CMOs must reinvent their marketing organizations from top to bottom to build a world-class marketing organization.
You will walk away from this session with answers to your vital questions, a copy of the research slides and recommended actions to help you achieve your goals.
Discussion Topics:
Understand why CMOs must reinvent the marketing function
Identify the 15 decisions CMOs must make ahead of restructuring the marketing org
Devise an organizational design strategy and plan that always starts with why

Online Webinar – Recorded September 2024 Activity Type: Education – Online or Digital Media 1 PDU – Free Provider: Gartner Webinars
Generative AI (GenAI) has the potential to transform the customer service and support function, but transformation is never quick or easy.
Media outlets, technology optimists and vendors have hyped the potential for rapid change in service and support, perpetuating a myth of GenAI as a cure-all with low barriers to adoption.
The reality is far more challenging. Unfortunately, many leaders underestimate the resource-intensive prerequisites essential for a successful deployment.
While leaders can quickly and cheaply buy into GenAI capabilities, doing so typically offers only incremental productivity gains. Worse yet, poorly designed capabilities risk damaging the customer experience. Leaders must recognize that a host of elements must be aligned before a potentially transformative GenAI use case can deliver results.
Working with early adopters of GenAI, Gartner identified 11 dimensions of readiness. Join this complimentary Gartner customer service and support webinar as Gartner experts will help service leaders determine which types of use cases they are ready for and which need more organizational maturity before being pursued.
Discussion Topics:
Find out how customer service and support organizations successfully deploy GenAI
Assess your organization against 11 dimensions of readiness
Evaluate your readiness for GenAI use cases

The ambition to drive innovation is more complex than ever, as companies seek to innovate beyond products into services, ecosystems and business models.
Culture often acts as a barrier to innovation, but represents a substantial opportunity to improve innovation performance. Organizational culture comprises the values, beliefs, rules and norms that permeate throughout a company.
Unfortunately, cultures are hard to change and tend to do so slowly. However, organizational climates change more easily and quickly. A climate is a group’s shared perceptions of the nature of its work.
There are three things that can especially enable stronger innovation climates: Senior Leader Posture; Innovation Operationalization; and Creativity Development.
In this webinar Atul Dighe (LinkedIn profile) Gartner VP Advisory, will help senior R&D leaders strengthen their innovation climates by consistently modeling the right behavior, and setting and communicating their innovation vision.
Discussion Topics:
Importance of an innovation culture in the current scenario
How commonly held beliefs about innovation culture get in the way of our desired outcomes
Master the 3 keys of a strong innovation climate
