AI projects are highly diverse, not only in terms of the problems they address, but also in how assets are developed, packaged, deployed, and maintained.
The multitude of AI platforms support a wide range of use cases, but not all of them seamlessly integrate with software engineering practices and other operational systems.
As a result, multiple programs and processes often take shape in slightly different ways, making it challenging for AI and software engineering teams to maintain consistency and collaborate effectively. A distinguishing feature of high-performing organizations successfully leveraging AI is the strong partnership between AI and software engineering teams.
Join Anthony Mullen (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner Sr Director Analyst & Van L. Baker (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner VP Analyst to delve into the dynamics of this partnership that thrives on conversations revolving around shared objectives, goals, efficiencies, and growth in maturity.
Discussion Topics:
- Understand what a shared data pipeline looks like and how can you improve it
- Learn how software engineering and AI teams can share production duties
- Hear the AI skills software engineers require, and what software engineering skills are essential for AI engineers

The world is becoming a difficult place to work as a Project Manager.
We’re working globally, across time zones and cultures, with new technology, and industries and projects are losing money at a staggering rate (Every 20 seconds, nearly $1 million is wasted globally due to poor implementation of strategy – PMI Pulse of the profession 2018).
We need to adapt. As Project Managers, we are leading the way and bringing projects to success or failure.
- What can we do to change the statistics?
- How can we buck the trend of poor performance and reoccurring issues in projects?
We need to learn how to work in this new environment and how we can excel.
In this webinar Emily Luijbregts (LinkedIn profile) will show you how to do that by providing practical examples for how you can become a chameleon and succeed with complex projects.
Gain an understanding of why it is important to have an adaptive management style; obtain some ideas for how you can change your management style towards your team; and define personal changes that you need to make to lead your projects successfully.

The hype surrounding artificial intelligence has reached a fever pitch, largely driven by the release of specific generative AI tools like ChatGPT and Bard.
Most AI investments focus on isolated capabilities for single-use cases, missing the potential of integrating AI to tackle real business problems and unlock diverse applications.
Organizations risk falling behind competitors if they continue with ad hoc AI investments. Enterprise architecture (EA) leaders must quickly enable their organizations to strategically design, invest in, and integrate AI into their existing IT systems.
Join Lucas Kobat (LinkedIn profile) Gartner Sr Principal to explore a five-phase framework for leveraging AI within your organization.
From identifying viable use cases to managing AI outputs, this framework offers a comprehensive approach to effectively incorporate AI into your operations and ensure you stay competitive in the AI-driven landscape.
Discussion Topics:
- Identify and align targeted business outcomes with AI opportunities
- Acquire the necessary data to fuel your AI model selection
- Continuously monitor and enhance deployed AI capabilities

Organizations need a compelling employee value proposition (EVP) to compete for top talent.
However, simply defining an EVP is not enough. The most progressive organizations focus 80 percent of their efforts on delivering their EVP promises.
Leaders must understand what drives today’s employees to quit their jobs so they can build effective talent plans.
Join Lily Mok (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner Research VP to learn how to activate your EVP across candidate/employee life cycles to attract and retain top talent in a competitive and rapidly changing market.
Discussion Topics:
- Choose the core Employee Value Proposition (EVP) attributes that most appeal to talent
- Define and communicate a compelling EVP to attract and retain top talent
- Differentiate your EVP for key employee segments

Underperformance is a common threat to megaproject managers and the track record of cost and time overruns in these projects is well documented.
While front end planning is important, not all events and scenarios can be foreseen when the project can take several years to complete and may involve many companies and stakeholders.
In our research we find that the capacity to adapt to this uncertainty during the life of the project is crucial for megaproject performance but it is often overlooked as a capability. Using a case study of the construction of a US$20 billion dollar project we show that project leaders play an important role in recognizing when a plan needs to change and then navigating the path onto a new project plan without disrupting the delivery of the project.
