With the COVID-19 pandemic, risk management is taken with increased interest by professionals, communities and organizations across industry verticals. Particularly within the Project-Program-Portfolio (PPP) community, risk management has been asked to be taken-up on a proactive and priority basis.

The risk management life cycle (RMLC) works within the context of risk management framework. It ensures risks are managed in a structured and integrated manner in an organization irrespective of life cycle approaches chosen.

Understanding of risk management framework across portfolios, programs and projects, is foundational to have tangible results coming from risk management.

While a project’s risk management life cycle is somewhat known and practiced, there are a number of variations when programs and/or portfolios are taken up in an organization. Many risk management practitioners miss these subtleties!

In this webinar, Satya Narayan Dash will explore:

  • What are risk management framework and risk management life cycle?
  • What will be considerations for the portfolios?
  • What will be considerations for the programs?
  • What will be considerations for the projects?
  • How to take an integrated approach?

Presenter:  Satya Narayan Dash (LinkedIn profile@ManagementYogi) is a management professional, speaker, coach and author of multiple books. Many of his students have successfully passed the PMP.  Satya has created new management paradigms, including “Agile PMP,” “Practical PMP with MS Project/Primavera P6” and “Practical RMP with Primavera Risk Analysis” and many hands-on Agile-related courses. There’s a big secret in project management. Half the time, many of us feel as if we are walking in fog. And we dare not tell anyone. Instead, we hide it with a ‘can-do’ attitude.

In this webinar Carole explodes a myth. No matter what people have told you: when the pressure is on – a ‘can-do’ attitude doesn’t help!

Join Carole to gain real insight into how:

  • the human brain works and ‘why people behave as they do’
  • ‘can- do’ project management takes projects off track

And most important, discover what works instead.

Presenter:  Carole Osterweil, (LinkedIn profile) author of the book Project Delivery, Uncertainty and Neuroscience – A Leader’s Guide to Walking in Fog, is the project coach and troubleshooter behind visible dynamics.  Her pioneering approach brings an understanding of how the human brain works to the world of project management and business transformation. She  increases productivity, improve outcomes and reduces stress.  As an MBA trained psychotherapy, she has led complex change and transformation programmes in the NHS and corporate sectors. She is also one of a select team of coaches working with Cranfield University, the Project Academy, and PA Consulting to support the UK government’s drive to increase senior change, project and programme management capability.

Assurance functions face a lot of pressure to adapt to the changing risk landscape.

The current climate poses new challenges for these business functions, and in tumultuous times, it is easy for poor risk practices to creep into organization decision making.

Audit and risk leaders and their teams must work together to maintain a high level of oversight into employee conduct to ensure an appropriate risk culture.

In this webinar Kyle Byrnes (LinkedIn profile) Gartner Principle Advisory webinar looks at how effective coordination can minimize duplication of work and increase risk awareness across the organization.

Discussion Topics:

  • Equip your organization to identify and respond to new or changed risks
  • Consider ways to harmonize functional efforts and optimize costs
  • Understand the value of a strong risk culture in these increasingly uncertain times
