Organizations are cautiously adapting to an altered ecosystem that is still shifting and creating multiple new normals.

Scenario planning has never been more important to commercial success. In this complimentary webinar, we will look at how shifting labor costs, changes in geopolitics and trade policies, and the need to be closer to customers are making companies question supply chains that have been designed specifically for cost efficiency.

The pandemic has exposed the fragility of this approach and is raising the profile of resilience in global supply chains.

Discussion Topics:

  • How companies are adapting networks for global economies of scale against local responsiveness
  • How supply chain network design can help with balancing these conflicting objectives
  • The role of scenario planning in building resiliency to known and unknown risks

Join Kamala Raman (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner Sr Director Analyst to create scenario planning to mitigate your risks!

There is increasing recognition that Schedule Risk Analysis has an important part to play in producing more realistic forecast for future work completion.

There are two reasons that organizations still use to justify not adopting the technique:

  1. There is a fear that the additional work to implement schedule risk analysis will outweigh the benefits.
  2. The schedule is often imposed by the client and the contractor should just make do and deliver.

In reality, schedule risk analysis can be implemented without a massive re-estimation effort to capture three-point estimates and being forewarned regarding issues with client schedules gives an opportunity for addressing those issues before they occur.

In this session John Owen CEO of Barbecana Inc, will show how Barbecana’s Full Monte Schedule Risk Analysis add-on for Microsoft Project can improve your understanding of the uncertainty in any schedule before issues arise.

Topics will include initial implementation, sensitivity analysis, modelling risk mitigation, and using schedule risk analysis with Agile methodologies.

Presenter:  John Owen (LinkedIn profile) CEO of Barbecana Inc,  has 30+ years of experience with using, supporting, and developing project management software tools across multiple industries.  Before joining Barbecana John was Product Director for Scheduling and Risk tools at Deltek.  Barbecana specializes in producing software for schedule risk analysis with the aim of helping customers improve confidence in their schedules.
