Performance management is going through a metamorphosis. Though even as rigid old practices are cast aside in favor of a more “continuous” approach, many executives still wonder “how is this linked to any measurable business value?“.

This webinar will explore Real-Time Performance Management – a process directly influenced by real-time performance data and optimized for business results.

Join Dr. Eyal Ronen (LinkedIn profile) Organizational Behavior Specialist, GamEffective  and see:

  • Why you should stop measuring participation in performance management and start measuring actual performance
  • How to get past “continuous” and into real-time feedback
  • How data ties together goals, feedback, coaching, recognition and engagement
  • What implementing this looks like in real life

How Well Do You Monitor A Contract’s Performance

Contracting Officer’s Representatives (CORs) are tasked with monitoring contract performance on behalf of the agency’s Contracting Officer (CO).

This webcast will address the COR’s role and a number of tools that can be used during performance of the contract to ensure a successful post-award phase of the acquisition process.

The contract has been awarded and the Post Award Orientation has been scheduled.

The Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) is the principle representative of the Contracting Officer (CO) for post-award management of the contract.

There are a number of tools available to the COR to monitor contractor performance.

These are six of the most effective tools to monitor contractor performance:

  1. Contractor Progress Reports
  2. Contractor Quality Assurance Plan (QAP)
  3. Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP)
  4. Earned Value Management (EVM)
  5. Performance Assessment
  6. Product or Service Inspection & Acceptance

The use of these six tools will vary based on the type and complexity of the contract, direction from the Contracting Officer (CO), and the experience and performance of the contractor.

But effective contract management depends on how the COR performs his/her role and how effectively the COR uses the tools available to monitor contractor performance.

Programmes are risky undertakings and require proactive risk management, but programmes are not large projects, and programme risk management is different from project risk management.

In this presentation David Hillson explores the unique and specific characteristics of managing programme risk, providing a clear understanding of the challenge as well as practical guidelines to deal with it.

Programme risk management is focused around risk efficiency, allowing risk exposure to be balanced across the programme.

It is also necessary to handle programme-level risks, as well as risks which have been escalated from programme components.

A unique two-phase approach is proposed for handling these different types of risk in programmes, using both implicit and explicit techniques.

Finally, the presentation outlines the challenges remaining in developing a robust and effective approach to management of programme risk.

Presenter: Dr David Hillson  known globally as The Risk Doctor, David is a thought-leader and expert practitioner, who speaks and writes widely on risk management. He blends thought-leadership with practical application, presenting it in with clarity & humour.  Guided by his motto: “Understand profoundly so you can explain simply” he has advised major organisations, governments, & charities in over 50 countries, on how to create value from risk. He has received many awards for his ground-breaking work in risk management, (Honorary Fellowship of APM, PMI Distinguished Contribution Award etc), and has developed significant innovations that are now widely accepted as best practice.

This webinar is fourth in a 4 part series series on “Risk Management” by Solutions Cube. Although this module is a part of the series – each module in the series can be taken individually.

Successful project teams understand the importance
Of incorporating ongoing Risk Management and Monitoring activities
Through out the life of a project.

Treating risk management as a one time identification and assessment activity leaves the project effort exposed to many avoidable and manageable project risks.

Developing and utilizing a Risk Communication Plan further enhances the Project Manager’s ability to engage the right level of stakeholder involvement throughout the risk management effort.

The Risk Management Series of in depth webinars will introduce participants to techniques for defining a Risk Management Process and using this process to progressively build a Risk Register including: identifying risks using a Risk Meta-Language, Assessing Risks with quantitative techniques, understanding the 8 risk responses and selecting the appropriate Risk Response for the project risks and monitoring risks throughout the project.

Solutions Cube Group’s Monitoring and Managing the Successful Risk Plan webinar will help your project teams understand the characteristics that lead to effective project risk management.

Learn how to evaluate the success of risk responses and what to do with Secondary Project Risks as they occur, and learn the difference between managing risk and responding to problems and issues resulting from risks that occur.

In the Monitoring and Managing the Successful Risk Plan webinar, participants learn:

  • How to recognize the organization’s Risk Maturity level and use this knowledge to manage risk appropriately on projects.
  • How to develop a Risk Communication Plan that identifies the unique needs of each project stakeholder
  • How to engage the right stakeholders in risk management activities
  • Which Critical Success Factor has the most impact on successful risk management actions
  • How to identify and respond to Secondary Risks as they occur throughout the project
