A Panel Discussion

User experience (UX) emerged over the last decade as a core competency for digital product teams.

It helped in driving the vision, strategy, product-market fit, screen design and overall experience. However, UX teams have yet to fully adopt agile practices that have been proven to increase the value and quality of product releases.

As a result, digital product teams suffer from miscommunication, poorly articulated features, unnecessary enhancements and misguided strategic decisions.

What if UX teams could integrate better with product and development teams and align to continuous delivery practices?

In this webinar,  Brent Stewart (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner Sr Director Analyst & Arun Batchu (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner Sr Director Analyst discuss DesignOps practices that enable software engineering leaders and their teams to establish operational compatibility between UX, product management and development, promote communication and formalize innovation.

Discussion Topics:

  • Importance of user experience (UX) for digital product teams
  • How DesignOps can bridge UX, product management and development
  • Make innovation a formalized part of your software engineering process

Let’s get your strategy down to one page. Yes, one page. Creating a strategy used to be an arduous and lengthy process that lasted months and resulted in a document that was hundreds of pages.

It was WORN — Written Once, but Read Never.

Developing a strategy is easier today, with 15 pages replacing hundreds, but even that is 14 too many.

The companies leading in digital business do not distinguish between “business” and “IT;” they have one story for business success and that is the business story.

So, how do you craft your best story?

Join Heather Colella, (LinkedIn profile) Gartner VP Analyst in this webinar, the first in the three-part “Impactful Storytelling” series, as Gartner expert Heather Colella, creator of “The Art of the 1-Page Strategy,” answers questions from you and your peers on how to develop your most effective strategy.

Discussion Topics:

  • Use storytelling to enable business growth
  • Learn why the one-page strategy is more effective than traditional approaches
  • Find the right model for thinking about storytelling and investment in business capabilities

Statistics show that globally about 33% of the food produced in the world is lost or wasted.

On the other hand, we have about 11 % of world suffering from malnutrition and hunger.

According to UN based WHO, even if 25 % of the food wasted is saved then it can alleviate the hunger problem. The problem is acute and is obvious but yet organizations and people have not come to grips with it.

Thankfully, during the last few years the situation is changing. The factors responsible for the problem can be identified under three approaches – Advocacy, Attitude and Know-How.

  • How can we as project management professionals get involved and help solve this problem.
  • What are opportunities from a business perspective?
  • What are the options at work, home or in society?
  • How can we contribute to the solution as part of our social responsibility?

In this webinar Raju Rao (LinkedIn profile)  will look at these questions and present ideas and projects which will help save and recover food waste.

This is an awareness program. The first half of the presentation will deal with issue of food waste and food recovery worldwide and the current practices. The latter part will consider solutions to the problem, especially with a perspective of areas where project managers can contribute.
