As a leader, you’re barraged with problems every day, and sometimes it’s easier to take the path of least resistance.

You don’t speak up because it might rock the boat. You procrastinate on a decision or don’t try that new idea because you’re afraid of failure. Or, you don’t invite feedback because you might not like what you hear.

In these moments, you’re missing opportunities, you’re wasting money, and you’re eroding your team members’ trust.

Building your reputation as a courageous leader doesn’t necessarily mean making big, bold, game-changing moves. It happens every day, little by little, as you own your team members’ strengths, speak up, stand out, and dare to take appropriate risks.

In this program Karin Hurt & David Dye give you practical methods to become a bit more daring every day for greater influence and impact—to become the courageous leader you would want to work for.

Learning Objectives:

  • Practical approaches to show up as a more authentic, courageous leader
  • Tools for gathering and responding to feedback
  • Techniques to prepare for and hold courageous conversations up, down, and sideways

Project management practices, just like other management practices, have undergone changes over the past five decades. Executives in both government agencies and private industry are now realizing that project management is not just a career path position for workers, but a strategic competency necessary for the future of their organization.

The goal is not merely to work on projects, but to create sustainable long-term business value and benefits from the projects, and to be able to make rapid decisions based upon evidence and facts rather than guesses.

This will require all workers, including senior managers, project managers, and support organizations to have a better understanding of the changes that are expected to take place in the project management landscape over the next decade and to implement some of the changes that best fit their vision for the future of their firm.

At this webinar, you will be provided with a “window into the future” so that you can decide how best to plan for the implementation of expected business drivers. Project managers will see how their job will be changing over the next decade and can prepare for it in a timely manner.

Upon completion of this webinar, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand the need for growth in using flexible frameworks
  • Describe the new life cycle phases for projects and programs
  • Identify the new skills you will need, especially new forms of project/program management leadership
  • Recognize the importance of information warehouses and how they impact the project manager’s role and project decision-making
  • Learn the new metrics needed for tracking performance (i.e., strategic project metrics, tangible project value metrics, and intangible project value metrics)

You’re ready to figure out whether your training programs are working, worth the investment of time and other resources, and meeting their goals. What tools do you need to conduct a training program evaluation?

Program evaluation is about applying systematic methods to collect, analyze, interpret, and communicate data about a program to understand its design, implementation, outcomes, or impacts.

Simply put, it’s about asking good questions, gathering the right data, and using what we learn to make good decisions.

A robust program description and logic model are powerful tools that can inform a program evaluation plan. Well-designed surveys and focus groups are some of the most used tools for data collection.

In this session Sheila will provide a brief overview of five phases of program evaluation and dive into key considerations for creating these tools.

In this session, attendees will learn:

  • The 5 phases of a program evaluation
  • Why a robust program description is essential
  • How to develop a program logic model
  • Key considerations for creating surveys and focus group protocols
